Hi A.T. Well, how many years have I been carrying this thing? It's hard to remember, but it's at least two, and possibly three at this point. Every day, it's slipped in my pocket, along with the other junk that ends up there. Sure, it's showing some signs of wear, but it's far more worn-in than it is worn-out. I call it patina. I've done nothing more than touch-up the edge and blow the lint out. The blade still swings as smoothly and freely as the day I got it, and the liner lock still clicks in precisely, and holds the blade rigidly. There's a wonderful sense of security in a knife of this quality. The scales are pocket polished to a perfect satin finish, and the thing impresses anyone who knows anything about knives when they see it. I told you I liked it then, but that's meaningless, really. What really matters is that I STILL like it after years of daily carry. That's a true testament to a quality product. Just thought I'd let you know. Best, Greg -- Gregory L. P. |
I received the knife!!!!
Man, oh man! Is it a nice piece of
work. I love to just open and close
the blade. The solid feel of it
opening and then clicking into place
feels wonderful. I certainly admire
your craftsmanship. I cannot imagine
making by hand such a complex and
beautiful instrument. Well done.
Well done indeed.
I love the overall flow and shape of
the knife, particularly with the blade
open. Wow! It is gorgeous. I love
the Damascus, the file work, and the
shape.

The one below was posted on a news
group. A.T. IT'S HERE!!! My gawd! It's beautiful! A.T. is beyond great - he truly means it - "...don't you buy no ugly knife" Though the pictures can't possibly do it justice you've gotta take a look: http://www.customknives.com/pix125.htm When A.T. posted the images, I hadn't received the knife yet - Though it was tough, I wouldn't let myself look. I wanted to see the original for the full impact... so I waited. This is more than a knife. This is ART! Thanks John M. |
Mr. Barr, I just wanted to let you
know that I received |
A.T. It's been a very busy time for
me lately and I have been meaning to |
A T , JUST A LITTLE NOTE TO SAY THANK
YOU FOR ONE OF THE NICEST WORKS OF ART
SINCERELY, TONY S |
Hi A.T.,
The Ironwood dagger arrived today.
The blade is very nicely ground and
the fit and finish are second to
none. It's a very nice piece and so
very smooth too. The next one I buy
from you will be perhaps a little
fancier with anodized liners and
maybe some spacer filework. You can
certainly count on my checking your
web site for available knives
whenever my budget allows. This was
really a pleasure and I am very
pleased and proud to own such a nice
piece of your work.
Thanks and best wishes,
Peter M.
