Gene has been a custom knife maker since 1980. He joined the Knifemakers' Guild in 1981 and was inducted as a voting member in 1983. Gene is also a director of the Knifemakers' Guild.

He makes several styles of knives. From Hunters, lock backs, and liner locks, to one of a kind art pieces. His file work is absolutely fantastic. He also creates stands to display some of his art pieces. One of his trademark knives is his Colt 45 "Pistol Grip" lock back. 

A little over a year ago, he started teaching his wife Barbara how to make knives. It looks like she's also learning how to do some great file work. See them out here.
