G. W. Stone Hunter

You don't often find a knife for sale by a "Founding Member" of the Knifemaker's Guild. G. W. Stone believed in making a knife sturdy enough to last several life times. He was also one heck of a show man. I remember attending Gun and Knife shows in the Dallas area back in the 'late '70's. G. W. would have a large block of Oak on his table. He'd whack it three or four times and then he's shave some hair from his arm. Of course by the end of the show, his arm's were hairless, so he would end up cutting paper Sunday afternoon.

This knife is in almost new condition. It has been sharpened by someone in the past and they did mark the blade some next to the cutting edge. The scratches are not deep, but they are there. The blade is D-2 and is 4 1/2" long. The handle is 4 3/4" in length. I think it's maroon linen Micarta®, but I'm not sure.

The sheath is in pretty good condition, but some one put their name on it. It's still one great knife for a hunter. I can dye the sheath black for an additional $20.00.
