A. C. Metsala No. 8 Blade blank

Here is a fine double ground blade blank from A.C. Metsala. The length of the sharpened edge  is approximately 4 3/4" and the tang is approximately 4 5/8" in length. The blade is Robert Eggerling Mosaic Damascus, that A.C. did a deep hollow ground, heat treated the blade to a RC of 57-59, did the finish sanding, and then heat blued it. The false edge is not sharp. A.C. welded on the tang and annealed it.
