Here is a beautiful Bowie made and donated by Knifemakers' Guild members,
Dave Dodd, Herb Derr, R.W.
Wilson, and Charlie McConnell.
Herb Derr
made the beautiful 'Birdseye' Damascus, and sent the
blank to Charlie McConnell to grind. This was one of the
last blades that Charlie ground before his death.
Charlie then returned the blade to Herb Derr for etching
and bluing.
Then Herb sent the blade to Dave
Dodd and R.W. Wilson for the final finishing. It was
then sent to Kathy Boone for the beautiful Scrimshaw.
The Damascus is blued 'Birdseye' by Herb Derr. The Damascus blade is 9 1/4" in length and the overall length is 14". The handle is Pre-Ban Ivory. $1800.00 (includes mailing (USPS) and insurance).
